Envirogard

A fast drying, tough, non-yellowing semi-gloss interior/exterior finish suitable for architectural, institutional and industrial service including moderately corrosive environments. Performs well on drywall, millwork, concrete, masonry, metal and vinyl siding & suitably primed structural steel. For use in hospitals, schools, public buildings, pulp and paper mills & petro chemical plants. Provides a much tougher, more durable finish than conventional latex and alkyd finishes.

Tintable to the full spectrum of the General Paint colour system. Designed for maximum performance on floors, trim, window frames, jambs, baseboards and wall areas. Due to its exceptional adhesion, it can be used as a self prime finish on most non-porous substrates. (Not suitable over powder coating finishes or some factory applied finishes (test area required before recoating factory finishes).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A high quality water reducible acrylic vehicle pigmented with Titanium Dioxide.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface must be dry, clean, free from dust, dirt, grease or wax. Seal new plaster or new drywall with one coat of 51-087 Superseal Interior Latex Sealer. Seal new interior wood with 02-230 Primer/Sealer and Exterior wood with 32-002 Oil Primer or 70-002 Exterior Wood Primer. Steel should be blast cleaned to SSPC-SP6 and primed with 15-002 self prime coating or suitable alternate.

Previously Painted Surfaces - Wash with TSP or biodegradable alternative, rinse with clean water, dry thoroughly before painting. Remove any loose or poorly adhering coatings.

Fill cracks or nail holes with appropriate filler. When dry, sand and spot prime. Although this product has good adhesion to most glossy surfaces, sanding to dull gloss will achieve optimum performance.

APPLICATION

NB If humidity is high, or temperature low, longer drying periods will be required.
